(Eesti) Alice Pehk
Alice Pehk, PhD is one of the leading music therapists and music therapy lecturers in Estonia. Having experience as a music therapist since 1995, she is concentrated on preventive psychotherapeutic work in individual as well as group music therapy by using psychodynamic methods, including the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music. Alice Pehk has been a lecturer and research fellow at Tallinn University and has created several training programs of music therapy in Estonia. She is also a lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
Alice Pehk practices also as a creativity trainer and coach for institutions. She provides team-trainings (incl. TEAM-GIM), self empowerment, stress management and mindlfulness trainings by using creative training methods.
Alice Pehk has numerous publications in Estonian as well as international journals and books. She has published also a monograph “Art of Muses helps to live: The music effect and its therapeutic use”. Alice Pehk has been the president of the Estonian Society of Music Therapy in 1995-1999 and 2013-2015. She is the Estonian representative at the European Music Therapy Confederation since 1995 and Board member since 2013. She is also the conductor of the Rae Chamber Choir.
